Twin Towers
The City:
Twin Towers gets its name from the two towers that rise from the banks of the river that divides the city in half. They stand a monument to human engineering, rising 230 stories into the sky. Two Bridges cross the wide slow moving river between two halves of what was once one city. Now however the two halves are as different as night and day. The city has a population of 2.8 million and a varied number of transients and business men that come to the city's port and airport each day.
History:
The City's History began over 500 yr. ago when a Gangrel and Nosferatu ancient decided to settle a dispute here. They battled to a draw and supposedly went into torpor in the old parts of the city. They have not been seen in 500 years.
Each side of the river is controlled by a different faction, even though it is really one city. The side to the north is controlled by a Ventrue, who is the City's Prince and the side on the south is controlled by the second most powerful, a Toreador.
More recently however the cold season is moving to the city and is forcing more transients into the city in search of warmth and a kind benefactor. Also in the news is the war going on between the city's two newspapers. It appears that only one will come out on top and the battle for subscribers is heating up.
On another war front, one of the three local crime bosses was assassinated less than two weeks ago. The two remaining sides are gearing up to split up the turf while the forces of the dead crime boss try to find a new leader quickly.
Elysium:
The main library at the university has been declared an Elysium. This came about after part of the library was destroyed in a fight between a Gangrel and Brujah. The Tremere threatened to remove their support from the city if the library was not protected.
Places of note:
The Cathedral is a renovated catholic cathedral. It has been turned into a bar that has a quiet, and serene atmosphere. It is a place where kine and kindred mix in this neuvo gothic club.
The Seraphim is another bar that sits near the University. It caters to the student population and has a slightly upscale clientele.

Notes on Character Creation:
Clans will have a max of 3 people per clan. Those will be first come first served. People will be getting a few freebies from me when I go over their characters. Everyone will get Kindred Lore 1 for free...along with, Status 1, Clan Status 1, and a free dot in Contacts...the catch is, the contact has to be another player character. Therefore you need to work this out with one of the other characters when you take it. All vamps are 2 weeks old, all sired by the primogen of the clans and all of you are unreleased
Another thing I need from all of the players and STs as well, is for you to go back through your books and reread the clans and how they interact.
I want 3 stats when you play your introduction in the channel: Appearance, Status and Clan Status. This way everyone knows where you stand in the pecking order of the city. There is a primogen council and those who wish to get involved with it may IC (In Character) but they are something to be feared if they are not your own Primogen and someone to turn to for answers on occasion if they are your Sire.
The diff between clan status and status:
Clan status is how your clan views you. If you have a high rating, your sire will be more likely to help you. Others in your clan should defer to you and treat you with respect.
Status is what the city thinks of you. This is how you are treated by those not of your clan. So if the Prince smiles at you one night your status may go up a point. If he sends you on a cheesy errand people will view you as out of favor and treat you accordingly.
Recent Vampire History:
What you will also learn from the Sires that embraced you is that there was a breach of the Masquerade in the city a month ago and a Justicar found out about it. The Prince being smart tried to cover all his tracks quickly. He formed a plan with the Elders of the city and killed all vampires under the age of 100 years old. By the time the Archons arrived there was no proof of what had happened and no one to say what happened. The Prince then allowed the Primogen to rebuild their clans. You are the mortals that were selected to fill the void. That is why you are all still so young. The Prince will not allow any outside vampires into the city until it is strong again.
