Channel Embraced Rules

The following are the rules for the Channel Embraced, played on efnet on irc. A structured role play game, no freeform. It is asked that you read them then reply with confirmation you have done so by filling out the form listed after them and submit so that we may identify you when you come to check us out. Thank you for your cooperation in this. A confirmation MUST be received before you will be accepted to play with us in our game.

1. This is a Vampire: The Masquerade role play channel. We allow mortals in to be embraced and vampires, but no other World Of Darkness characters will be approved. Please don't even ask.

2. Please do not ask for extra points to start with. The channel has been going for over 2 years now and everyone started their character the same way. Don't whine about it. Make a good starting character and play it. Straight VTM Guide Book and Players Guide rules allowed with this exception: I am allowing merits and flaws from all the books...not just the Players Guide. Please refer to the appropriate page for additional information for Twin Towers character creation.

3. The game that takes place in #Embraced is run in a Camarilla held city. All vamps are 2 weeks old, all sired by the primogen of the clan and all are unreleased.

4. This is a game we all come to play to enjoy and relax. No personal Out Of Character (OOC) attacks will be tolerated. This is also a game of dark feelings and actions. We expect people to play their characters properly. This can lead to situations where characters die. Please accept this as a fact of roleplaying and take it well.

5. As mentioned previously, this channel deals with the dark side of human nature. We request that you be at least 18 years old when you play in our channel. If you are not 18 and we find out, you will be banned from the channel. We also ask that you treat this as a game. All White Wolf products have a disclaimer about separating real life from roleplaying. Please read those disclaimers before registering for our channel below.

6. All players who wish to play in #Embraced must come observe the channel for at least 2 evenings to see if they believe they can mesh with the group. Once you have decided you wish to join our channel please write up a character. With the character we would also like a history to cover all flaws and merits along with a description of your haven. This will allow us to customize plots involving your character. The more detailed the better. You may chose to forego the history of the character, however this means you are giving the STs (Story Tellers) of the channel carte blanche with any flaws that you take. No whining after the fact will be listened to. It will be your own fault.

7. As of Feb 1st 1998 all characters accrue 2 experience points per week. This can be spent in any way you wish with no training or mentor.
