She steps in, from the silence of the night The gentle wind carries her name. Pale green eyes miss nothing, alert, shining bright As she is welcomed, her magic spreads throughout They accept her not realizing, what she is about. Meeting and greeting all those she sees. Her voice melodic on the evening breeze. They draw round her quickly, needing someone to believe in. Taken in by such beauty that should be called a sin. Like an animal drawn to water From her, she allows them to drink deep Thirsting for her stories, wanting to know more. Questing on her tales, wondering what she holds in store. She fools them with her kindness, she blinds them with her speed. The swiftness of her sword, she proves she's what they need. Her wickedness grows darker, yet one has stole her heart. To him she gives her love, vowing never to depart. Till one dark, fateful night, another took his life, As she watched him strike him down, ending all his strife. The once bright, pale green eyes, from her no longer sees, The will to love and fight, from her it quickly flees. She slowly turns with saddened face, looking to each one, The saddness ringing in her voice, I now must leave this place. To you I have been friend and foe By each one I have fought fair You stole from me the one I loved Taking all for which I care. Tis so sad you just now realize, what you had in me For now it is too late, I say farewell to thee. She turns and steps into the night, Back to whence she came. The gentle winds no longer carry, the message of her name.
